For long
the meeting place of world leaders and royalty, of famous
actors and writers, Gran Hotel La Florida closed its doors
in 1974. Now, a 42-million-dollar restoration by David Stein
of The Stein Group has returned the hotel to the five-star
standards of its golden age. The mansion perches above Barcelona,
looking over the beautiful city to the sea. Rooms and suites
are gorgeous: designer suites have panoramic views and many
rooms have balconies, terraces or gardens. The marble bathrooms
