One of the most beautiful houses in
Scotland lies close to the Culloden
Battlefield. Bonnie Prince Charlie
stayed here before being defeated in
the 1746 in a bloody battle between
the Scots and the English. Culloden
House is built on a grand scale with
large rooms, Adam plasterwork,
chandeliers and generous-sized
bathrooms. Three of the most
important golf courses in Scotland,
Nairn, Royal Dornoch and Castle
Stuart Golf Links, are located nearby;
golf plays an important part at
Culloden. The house is situated at
the very center of the Highlands, and
many interesting places are close-by.
This is a perfect base from which to
explore this beautiful area. Culloden
is listed in the Condé Nast Gold List
with the highest score for service in
Scotland for 2011, and the hotel was
voted the second-best small hotel in
Scotland in their Reader Awards.

Conde Nast Reader's Choice Award for No.1 Hotel in the British Isles, No. 1 in Europe and No. 11 in the world.
